Congratulations to the 32 brave swimmers who on March 25, 2021, took on the challenge to swim 20km from Kennedy Point, Waiheke Island to Okahu Bay, Auckland City. In doing so, they managed to fundraise over $41,000 for the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust.
The Westpac Chopper Swim first came about in 2016 when a small and inspired group of long distance swimming devotees, decided to take the ultimate plunge and raise money for a cause they were all passionate about.
The Westpac Chopper Swim has now raised over $450,000. That’s 90 lives saved!
It's free to enter. All swimmers agree to raise money for the vital Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter service. Everyone can participate in some way – whether you are a solo swimmer, relay team, kayaker, boat skipper or just want to help out - we would love to hear from you.
Register your interest for 2022. Date TBC.
